Album

Led Zeppelin III is the eponymous third studio album by the English rock band Led Zeppelin, released in October 1970. While there are still a handful of metallic rockers, III is built on a folky, acoustic foundation that gives the music extra depth. And even the rockers aren't as straightforward as before: the galloping Immigrant Song is powered by Robert Plant's banshee wail, Celebration Day turns blues-rock inside out with a warped slide guitar riff, and Out on the Tiles lumbers along with a tricky, multi-part riff. Nevertheless, the heart of the album lies on the second side, when the band delve deeply into English folk. It showed a progression from straightforward rock towards folk and acoustic music. While hard rock influences were still present, such as on Immigrant Song, acoustic-based songs such as Gallows Pole and That's the Way showed Led Zeppelin were capable of playing different styles successfully. The band wrote most of the material themselves, but as with prior records, included two. Led Zeppelin III. Led Zeppelin. Released October 5, 1970. Led Zeppelin III Tracklist. Immigrant Song Lyrics. Steering away from the hard rock that Led Zeppelin II gave us, Led Zeppelin III presented us with light rockfolk songs such as Gallows Pole and Hats Off to Roy Harper except for, of course, the hard-hitting Immigrant Song. The cover and interior gatefold art consisted of a surreal collection of seemingly random images on a white background. Behind the front cover was a rotatable laminated card disc, covered with more images, including photos of the band members, which showed through holes in the cover. Led Zeppelin III Q&A. That it opens with Immigrant Song , one of their top few rockers, only makes the later acoustic loveliness that much more affecting

Anyone is looking for this? I got very close to NM copy that I could pass over

It was suggested that this is actually not from Russia, but pressed elsewhere to LOOK as if it were pressed in Russia. They say that evidence of this is in the title of the LP, and other places and especially in the use of the Russian language, which is rife with errors, including but not limited to the band's name, which does not even sound phonetically similar to "Led Zeppelin". I wish I had more info other than the suspicious "someone told me", but that's all I have to go on. I'd love it if a Russian speaker came forward to simply look at the photos here on Discogs and offer an opinion. Regardless, this LP is still an oddity and looks pretty cool. Authentic or not. Thanks, Tom.

Exactly, is not expensive, less 10$. And one else from Andrey Tropillo interview: "..And the first thing I started to do, I started releasing, changing the graphic design, whole "golden fund" of rock and roll. Because he was not protected at the time. From 1989 to 1991 almost "golden fund" was published from my submission by the rock and roll party of the United Lutheran Church of Russia, the head of which consisted at the time. It was a special order, the same "S-90", to remove responsibility. The plate was printed by "Melody", and the envelope was made by the Lutheran Church. Of course, you could find fault with the schedule. So I redesigned the graphic design. And it turned out that some of the records are now rarities all over the world. For example, Led Zeppelin - IV, where Mitya Shagin is depicted on the cover. Or "Sergeant Pepper," on the cover of which three faces were added: in the top row I appeared, instead of Karl Marx, Kolya Vasin, and also the nose of the artist who did all this, Kolya Kibalchich."

gorazmey Hi. Thank you for the positive feedback. Tell me, you bought the Zeppelin from the seller? How much it costs, if not a secret? I'm just going to put the 3 records of this group from the Studio Antrop, interested to know what is the real cost. And about errors-it's true, in the Studio, a lot of them not only on the Ice the Zeppelin, but in many others. It does not hurt to be Andrew, Tropillo legendary personality and a real fan of rock music, who did a lot for music lovers of the Union at the time. This record was Not expensive. I don’t remember the exact cost but I wouldn’t have bought it if it was very pricey. I think the cost was $20?

Frankly, it,s real russian production from Antrop studio (from 1990). It was breakthrough for young Russia (until, we had not that music). Vinyl's sound not bad, not pure, the sleeve was made on poore wrappig-paper, but feelings were amazing

Thank you for that information! I don't think I'd like this pressing any less if it was indeed a "counterfeit" Russian, or rather, Soviet Led Zeppelin LP. I love the artwork! But as I purchase very few collectors items, it is nice to know this is the real thing.

Hi! Can reset the photos, write it up if interested. This is actually a Russian, or rather Soviet label, there is no doubt. All my childhood was spent in anticipation of the new records of this semi-underground Studio Antrop. Its owner-Andrew Tropillo alive and well in St. Petersburg.
