Released November 23, 1993. The first official live album for the band came packaged in a mini road case filled with 3-CD's from Mexico City, 2 VHS videos from San Diego, a VHS video from Seattle, a 72-page booklet, a Snake Pit pass, and a stencil of James' notorious Scary Guy. The Mexico City show was recorded in 1993 on the Nowhere Else to Roam tour while the San Diego show came from a 1992 stop on the Wherever I May Roam tour and the Seattle show documented a 1989 performance from the Damaged Justice tour. This is a review of the Mexico City show, not the San Diego and Seattle shows. The Mexico City show took place after the released of 1991's METALLICA more commonly known as The Black Album . The show was roughly 3 hours long, due to no opening act. It was a night of all Metallica

This set was released on 11/23/93, per Elektra's release schedule, Billboard magazine, published advertisements, and national charts. 11/9/93 is incorrect and should be changed.

Get yourself a few beers and or smoke up, turn this up to eleven. Immerse, almost 3 years later it was all over.

Use to own the 2 VHS movies from this set. Now own the complete CD DVD set. Great live audio and video. Don't know how Metallica can top this release.

Could somebody ensure me that these belong to the same release or a different one?

This is a true representation of metallica at the height of there greatness. It went all downhill from here. This live box set is awesome. Showcases the best of metallica live with James pissed off his dial. Killer guitar solos and drum solos. Very good 4/5
