Untitled is the ninth album by the American rock band the Byrds and was released in September 1970 on Columbia Records see 1970 in music. It is a double album, with the first LP featuring live concert recordings from early 1970, and a second disc consisting of new studio recordings. The album represented the first official release of any live recordings by the band, as well as the first appearance on a Byrds' record of new recruit Skip Battin, who had replaced the band's previous bass player, John. Among the later Byrds albums, Untitled was always the one to own, even if you weren't a huge fan. Issued back in 1970 as a two-priced-as-one LP, Untitled was one of the few modest commercial successes for the latter-day group. Eight Miles High is the high point, a 15-minute jam that showcases this band's prowess. Columbia Records mistakenly released a Byrds album without a title. The details of how the album came to be called Untitled differ slightly depending upon the source, but evidence confirms the accidental origins of the name. As Roger McGuinn explained the titles origins in an advertisement for the album: Actually it was a mistake. Somebody from Columbia called up our manager and asked him what the title was. He told them it was as yet untitled and so they went ahead and printed that . 50 видео Воспроизвести все Микс The Byrds - 1970 Untitled Album Vinyl 2LP. Sony added the Unissued to the title of this 1970 studiolive double album because, in addition to the entire album on one disc, you get another disc of completely unreleased material . Arguably the last truly great album from the Byrds, this was a double vinyl set when it appeared in 1970. The 16-minute Eight Miles High took up an entire side-allowing for plenty of the free-flowing guitar, bass, and drum solos that were in vogue at the time. Untitled The Byrds album. Having toured extensively throughout 1969 and early 1970, the Byrds decided that the time was right to issue a live album.
